Leadership 4.0 Capability Multirater Tool

Introduction

The Leadership 4.0 capability assessment tool rates your proficiency across eight capabilities determined through extensive international research as being essential for future leaders.

The following capabilities are based on the LAMDA™ research and resulting 'future capability reference framework' developed by Working Futures.

Levels

You will be asked to rate your competence using a five-level scale:

Emerging

Does not demonstrate this competence to the required standard. Knowledge and skills is at foundation stage and at this stage of development can only be deployed under close supervision within a clearly defined range of contexts, procedures and variables in which the choice of actions required is usually clear and there is limited complexity.

Developing

Does not demonstrate this competence to the required standard but demonstrates clear progress towards application to the required standard. Remains very reliant on rules and theoretical knowledge. While working under supervision sufficient practical experience exists to undertake autonomous performance of a limited range of routine tasks within familiar situations.

Proficient

Has sufficient competence and practical experience to operate autonomously with limited supervision within the rules, as well as to successfully complete some non-routine tasks often within complex or unfamiliar situations.

Advanced

Has deep knowledge and skills associated with the competence and substantial practical experience including the ability to perform competently beyond the prescribed rules.  Can apply the competence regularly and independently and perform consistently in a range of complex, varied situations. Others look to the person for coaching and as a role model for competence development.

Expert

Has broad and deep knowledge and skills associated with the competence and extensive practical experience including the ability to review and improve the prescribed rules and how the competence is deployed.  Operates intuitively and in a fluid, flexible and highly effective way, in both familiar situations and those that are unfamiliar, complex or challenging. Will often lead the transfer of the competence to others (mentoring, coaching, learning design, etc.).

Not Applicable or Neutral are not offered as rating options as some level of proficiency in all capabilities is considered essential in the future workplace.

As a result of your rating of each competence a report will be generated showing:
